Headquartering at Prospect Eleven we conducted a feasibility study into the realisation of a hip-hop center in De Nieuwe Kern next to the Bijlmer by interviewing hip hop minded entrepreneurs in the Bijlmer ranging from arts & culture entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs, charity organisations to consulting agencies, painting a colourful image of entrepreneurship in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost.

The Ask
What is the feasibility of realising a hip-hop center with a programmatic vision that is supported by the Amsterdam urban community, is connected to surrounding facilities in De Nieuwe Kern and relates to the sports, arts and cultural developments in Zuidoost?
The Fieldwork
Inquiry into the social paradigm, perceptions and opinions regarding hip hop and urban sports related activities in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Interviewing hip hop minded organisations in the Bijlmer ranging from arts & culture entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs, charity organisations to consulting agencies.
The Deliverable
An advisory report containing pointers on the basis of which the municipality of Amsterdam could make a well-founded decision regarding the feasibility of their intentions, in which a central role was reserved for the acknowledgement of the sentiments of entrepreneurs in Amsterdam South-East.
